A little heat

I arrived early for my dinner at Aldea and took a seat at the bar. I wasn't sure what i wanted but knew I wanted to try something new. I saw the bar man smashing a jalapeno in a glass and decided to order a Hemingway Heat. the drink, served in an old fashion glass, has Rhum JM, with fresh lime, grapefruit and jalapeno. It was a delicious libation and the perfect start to the meal.

Corpse Reviver?
Corpse Reviver (No. 2)
1 shot gin
1 shot Cointreau
1 shot Lillet Blanc
1 shot fresh lemon juice
Dash of absinthe or substitute (I used roughly ¼ teaspoon)
Shake well with ice and strain in to a cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
